The author wishes to share his views on various activities undertaken by him in establishing agroforestry projects and share lessons learnt. So far a lot has been said about agroforestry in Pacific so its time now for action to test out different mix and matches of tree species with horticulture and livestock. Climate Change is a real threat to the lives of some 9 million population in Pacific hence Agroforestry can help with building a resilient communities across Pacific.

Establishing Slope Land Agroforestry Model farm in Sabeto, Nadi.

Finally the land preparation has begun to set-up a agroforestry slope land demo farm in Nagado, Sabeto, Nadi. SPC technical staff - Cenon Padolina, Jalesi Mateboto, Vinesh Prasad and Patia were involved in marking the boundaries for contour farming and different crops based on their suitability to the soil.
